Workshops for Professionals
Introduction
At CAMHS, we offer FREE training workshops to all professionals who work with children and young people in North Derbyshire and the High Peaks and Dales.
These workshops are delivered by CAMHS professionals and cover a variety of topics including common mental health difficulties, learning disabilities and autism. They give professionals the opportunity to learn about up-to-date mental health research, tools and apps, learn new skills and strategies and enables professionals to network with other services and other professionals.
There are also several resources available on our website.

Emotional regulation and Coping Strategies

Looking Behind the Behaviour:
An Introduction to Child and Adolescent Mental Health
Date: Thursday 29th January 2026 and 12th February 2026
Time: 9:30 – 12:00

Outline of session :
Reflect on children’s behaviour and consider what may be driving it, for instance, anxiety, low mood, neurodiversity or safeguarding reasons.
This session is the starting point for all further Mental health training and gives professionals a foundation around mental health so that further training to explore more mental health elements can be achieved.
